Jacquelyn Moore

Jacquelyn has been a driving force behind Vertical Ascents since the beginning. In our programs, she merges two of her passions; movement and the mind.  With a passion for climbing that began in New York City in the early 2000s, Jackie brings more than 20 years of experience to her coaching—from her degree at Fordham University, delving into flow theory, optimal experiences, and psychology in rock climbing to a Director position at one of the United States largest climbing gyms.

Jacquelyn’s climbing style is characterized by the terrain she most loves to climb. She enjoys searching out the most technical challenges, from the gritstone of Sheffield to the granite of Yosemite to the sandstone of Fontainebleau.

She has completed an ICF-accredited diploma in personal coaching, encompassing a comprehensive range of methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral coaching, transactional analysis, motivational interviewing, and coaching psychology.

At the core of Jacquelyn's coaching philosophy is the belief that optimal experiences are essential to a fulfilling life and that rock climbing offers a unique opportunity to access them. With coaching, participants can consolidate and deepen the learning they gain from climbing. Jacquelyn's mission is to support her clients as they work toward achieving performance goals, cultivating high-quality climbing sessions, and building a sustainable relationship with the sport.
